Dr Deb loves helping people feel, move and function better, whether they’re young or young at heart. After developing a detailed understanding of a patient’s needs, she’ll apply low-force chiropractic techniques that make her treatments accessible to a wide range of patients, including families, the elderly, and those in highly physical jobs. As she puts it, “if you’re experiencing pain, starting to think that being older means you can’t do the things you love, or if you’re looking for guidance on how to feel good and move well, you sound like someone I’d love to work with.”
At Cornerstone, you can expect professional, courteous care and advice. We’ll chat with you about your history and conduct a thorough, respectful examination, clearly explaining what we are doing and finding. We’ll look at issues from several angles to determine their root causes, and, if appropriate, make a carefully considered treatment recommendation. This might include applying different techniques to help with your specific health concerns, or referring you to another health practitioner if that will get you the best outcome.
We promise to respect your unique circumstances and preferences, as well as your body, time and privacy. We’ll listen closely, answer your questions and clearly explain our techniques and findings as we go. We’ll offer choices and respect your decisions. We’ll thoroughly consider any treatment recommendations, and be a place to get well and get good advice. Finally, we hope to also provide you with hope, because with a renewed nervous system, so much more might again be possible in your life.

Hello! I’m Dr Deb, the owner at Cornerstone Chiropractic Centre. I’m a chiropractor, business owner, mother, native gardener, chocolate lover, table-top gamer, outdoor lover, 4WDer and wanna-be fisherwoman.
If you’re experiencing back pain, starting to think that being older means you can’t do the things you love or if you’re looking for guidance on how to feel good, move well and look good, then you sound like someone I’d love to work with! I’ve been a chiropractor for over 18 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I love helping people feel, move and be better, whether they are young or young at heart.
My journey to studying and becoming a chiropractor started when I sought chiropractic care as a young mum. You know – back pain is part of being a mum, right? I quickly came to understand that having my nervous system running in tip-top condition meant I could move better, improve the quality of my life and be a better partner and mum because I wasn't in pain. The light-bulb moment for me was when my chiropractor found something wrong in my daughter – something the doctor and paediatrician couldn’t find. And my kids have had chiropractic care since. They are now vibrant, healthy and rarely sick.
Working with the body is a fascinating thing. I’ve come to realise that less is more and you don’t need to be forceful or heavy-handed to make profound changes. I use gentle techniques to help people get better. I’m also certified in Applied Kinesiology. So, I use muscle testing to assess your nervous system function and find a solution to your health concerns.
So if you’re in pain, sick of a bandaid approach or just want to function better, then please get in touch to book an appointment.
We use gentle chiropractic techniques to help you move, feel and function better. To work out which technique will likely be best for you, we’ll use a range of strategies. We’ll look at the whole picture of your life – including its structural, chemical and emotional aspects – as well as your individual goals and preferences. Our aim is always to find and treat the underlying cause of any issue rather than just its symptoms.
Applied Kinesiology is a muscle-testing technique used to assess your nervous system and find what might be causing your health concerns. It helps us quickly determine what chiropractic treatment might work best for your body. Professional Applied Kinesiologists – like Dr Deb – are health practitioners who have undergone extensive training and certification in the skills of Applied Kinesiology.
Neonatal reflexes are the automatic reflexes a baby is born with. Necessary for early development and survival, they reduce as the brain develops. Sometimes though, things like birth trauma or stress can cause these reflexes to be retained, which can lead to developmental, social, behavioural or learning issues in children and adults. In short, it can diminish a person’s potential. We apply the RNR technique – involving gentle pressure applied to specific points on the skull and body with accompanying breathing techniques – to help the nervous system integrate these reflexes and restore your brain’s ability to effectively communicate with your body.
Stress responses such as fear, anger and grief can sometimes negatively affect us well after the stressful event, through headaches, body pains, phobias, anxiety, or self-sabotaging behaviours. NET is a gentle, safe, effective and natural technique that we use to help locate and let go of ‘stuck’ mind-body stress patterns and provide relief from unresolved stress. The technique usually involves a specific physical correction, such as a pulse or spinal correction, while you remember an event in which the stress originally occurred.
